Do I need a permit to visit Gurez Valley, and how do I get it?
Yes, Gurez is a sensitive border zone. Indian tourists require an entry permit/clearance at checkpoints. As part of our service, we manage all checkpoint permit coordination automatically. International tourists need a special Protected Area Permit (PAP), which we can assist in arranging.
What mobile networks work in Gurez Valley?
Only Jio and Airtel postpaid connections work in Gurez Valley (Dawar town has reliable Jio 4G). Prepaid SIM cards from outside Jammu & Kashmir do not work. We recommend downloading offline maps and travel documents before departing Srinagar.
Should I carry cash, or are digital payments accepted?
You should carry sufficient cash. ATMs in Gurez are limited and often run out of cash or lose connectivity. Due to spotty mobile networks, digital payments (like UPI or card machines) are highly unreliable in Gurez shops and hotels.
