Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival & Transit to Bandipora

Arrive at Srinagar. Travel to Bandipora base. Check permit clearance status at the DC office. Overnight in Bandipora.

Day 2

Conquering Razdan Pass in Snow

Mount snow-chains on the 4x4 SUV. Traverse the heavily snowed Razdan Pass. Arrive in the quiet, frozen wonderland of Dawar, Gurez.

Day 3

Frozen Habba Khatoon Base Trek

Walk through deep snow to the base of Habba Khatoon Peak. Drink from the semi-frozen spring and gather around a traditional wood bonfire in the evening.

Day 4

Snowshoe Dard-Shin Village Walk

Strap on snowshoes for a walk through Dawar village. Learn about native winter lifestyles, and enjoy a traditional hot meal by a Bukhari stove.

Day 5

Return Journey over the Pass

Carefully descend from Gurez back across Razdan Pass to Srinagar. Enjoy a warm hotel stay in Srinagar.

Day 6

Departure from Srinagar

Transfer to Srinagar airport for departure.
